New Wave of Finnish Serpent Rock – The Snake’s debut album out in March via Svart Records The Snake’s charisma stems from a passion for a heartfelt, strong guitar sound, bright vocal harmonies, and lyrics straight out of a diary. The band found its start from a long friendship between Nikita Titov and Elina Rahikainen. After spending a lot of time working together on an idea of a band, they found drummer Lauri Suutarinen, bassist Antti Orajärvi and guitarist Waltteri Alatalo to complete the line-up. This group of old and new friends quickly found their meaningful connection between each other and started creating. Having released two singles and played a handful of shows prior to the release of their highly anticipated debut album Always Bites Back, The Snake has built an engaging reverberant world under the influence of music from the 60’s, strong fuzz and simple 90’s echo and hints even from country music. Add this all together and you’ll hear a very vibrant combination of different worlds. Always Bites Back is available on Svart exclusive white/red/black marble vinyl, limited transparent red vinyl, and classic black vinyl. Release date March 28th, 2025.
